  • Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) - is a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. 
     
  • Frisson (French for 'shiver') - Is a sensation somewhat like shivering, usually caused by stimuli. It is typically expressed as an overwhelming emotional response combined with piloerection (goosebumps). Stimuli that produce a response are specific to the individual.
     
  • Formication - A sensation that resembles small insects crawling on (or under) the skin, it is a specific form of paresthesias.
     
  • Pandiculation - A stretching and stiffening of the trunk and extremities, as when fatigued and drowsy or on waking, often accompanied by yawning.
     
  • Flow State -  Described by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity.
